Upon intake to CBR Storage & Service
Whether you drop-off at our shop, or we pick-up from your location, a CBR Technician will start up your generator with you to verify its condition and review any questions or concerns you may have. After tagging your equipment, we’ll begin our multi-point inspection and cleaning tasks to ready your unit for storage.
Step #1: Clean & Inspect Your Generator
Before storing your generator, we will clean and inspect for wear and tear or any damage to the following:
- Hoses & Cords
- Wheels & Handles
- Controls & Switches
- Fuel Tank
- Spark Arrestor
Step #2: Maintenance Performed before Storage
- Drain all fuel including fuel lines & carburetor.
- Replace or clean the air filter.
- Inspect the spark plug and replace if necessary.
- Replace the generator oil.
- Trickle charge will be applied to battery, if applicable.
Step #3: Prepare the Generator for Return Before a Storm or Use
- Check & Charge the battery (if applicable). We’ll ensure the generator’s starter battery is fully charged. A well-charged battery is essential for starting the generator.
- Add up to 1 gallon, with Ethanol-free fuel.
- Conduct a test run to ensure the generator operates smoothly, and check for any unusual noises or vibrations.
Storage & Service Rates
Monthly Storage per Unit: $18.50 / Month
- Billed monthly, the price includes multi-point inspection and cleaning before long-term storage.
Yearly Storage Rate: $200
- The discounted rate must be paid in full at the time of signing up.
- Includes multi-point inspection and cleaning before long-term storage.
Anytime parts are needed above and beyond the above scope, charges will be submitted for customer approval before work commences.
