Storage & Service of Gas, Propane, & Natural Gas Portable Generators up to 15,000KW

Upon intake to CBR Storage & Service

Whether you drop-off at our shop, or we pick-up from your location, a CBR Technician will start up your generator with you to verify its condition and review any questions or concerns you may have. After tagging your equipment, we’ll begin our multi-point inspection and cleaning tasks to ready your unit for storage.

Step #1: Clean & Inspect Your Generator

Before storing your generator, we will clean and inspect for wear and tear or any damage to the following:

  • Hoses & Cords
  • Wheels & Handles
  • Controls & Switches
  • Fuel Tank
  • Spark Arrestor
Step #2: Maintenance Performed before Storage
  • Drain all fuel including fuel lines & carburetor.
  • Replace or clean the air filter.
  • Inspect the spark plug and replace if necessary.
  • Replace the generator oil.
  • Trickle charge will be applied to battery, if applicable.
Step #3: Prepare the Generator for Return Before a Storm or Use
  • Check & Charge the battery (if applicable). We’ll ensure the generator’s starter battery is fully charged. A well-charged battery is essential for starting the generator.
  • Add up to 1 gallon, with Ethanol-free fuel.
  • Conduct a test run to ensure the generator operates smoothly, and check for any unusual noises or vibrations.
